How long does shipping take?

We offer several shipping options to suit your needs:

  • Standard Shipping: 3–5 business days within France, 5–8 days internationally.
  • Express Delivery: 1–2 business days within France and selected European countries.
  • Same Day — Paris: Available for orders placed before 12:00 PM CET on weekdays.
  • Free Shipping: On all orders over €150, delivered within 5–7 days.

Please note that during peak seasons (holidays, new collection launches), processing times may be extended by 1–2 business days. You will always receive a dispatch confirmation with tracking information.

All orders are packed with the utmost care in our Parisian atelier before dispatch.
Do you ship internationally?

Yes, Ethereal Tide Aura ships to over 60 countries worldwide. Our international shipping partners include DHL Express, FedEx, and La Poste Internationale, ensuring secure and traceable delivery to your door.

Countries we serve include all EU member states, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Japan, South Korea, the United States, Canada, Australia, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and many more.

Please be aware that import duties, taxes, or customs fees may apply depending on your country. These charges are the responsibility of the recipient and are not included in our shipping fees.

What is the cost of shipping?

Our shipping rates are as follows:

  • Standard Shipping: €12 (France & most EU countries)
  • Express Delivery: €25 (France, UK, Benelux, DACH)
  • Same Day — Paris: €45
  • Free: On all orders over €150
  • International (non-EU): From €28, calculated at checkout

The exact shipping cost for your destination will be displayed clearly during checkout before you confirm your order.

Can I track my order?

Absolutely. Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a confirmation email containing a unique tracking number and a link to the carrier's tracking portal.

You can also monitor your order status directly through your Ethereal Tide Aura account under "My Orders". Tracking updates are typically available within 2–4 hours of dispatch.

If your tracking information has not updated within 48 hours of receiving your dispatch email, please contact us at info@etherealtideaura.com and we will investigate promptly.

Do you offer same-day delivery in Paris?

Yes — we offer same-day delivery within Paris (all arrondissements) and select inner suburbs. To qualify, your order must be placed before 12:00 PM CET on weekdays (Monday through Friday, excluding public holidays).

Our same-day Paris service costs €45 and is fulfilled by a dedicated courier. You will receive a delivery window notification by SMS once your parcel has been collected.

Same-day delivery is available year-round, including during collection launches and special occasions.
What packaging does Ethereal Tide Aura use?

Every Ethereal Tide Aura order is packaged with exceptional care. Our standard packaging includes a matte black outer box, tissue-wrapped fragrance nestled in our signature cream interior, and a hand-signed card from our atelier team.

For our Luxury Gift Wrapping option (+€15), orders are presented in our embossed rigid gift box, tied with a hand-finished silk ribbon in ivory or blush, accompanied by a personalised message card of your choice.

We are committed to sustainability: our packaging is made from FSC-certified materials and is fully recyclable. We never use single-use plastics.

Can I change or cancel my order?

We process orders quickly to ensure prompt dispatch, so modifications must be requested within 2 hours of placing your order.

To request a change or cancellation, please email info@etherealtideaura.com immediately with your order number and the details of your request. If your order has already entered the packing stage, we may not be able to make changes.

Once an order has been dispatched, it cannot be cancelled. In this case, please refer to our Returns Policy once you receive your parcel.

How do I choose the right fragrance?

Choosing a fragrance is an intimate, personal journey. We recommend beginning with our online Fragrance Finder — a curated questionnaire that suggests scents based on your preferences, lifestyle, and the occasions you wish to wear them for.

Consider the fragrance families: Floral (romantic, luminous), Oriental (warm, sensual), Woody (earthy, sophisticated), Chypre (mossy, classic), and Fresh (aquatic, citrus).

You may also request a complimentary sample set — see below — to explore multiple fragrances before committing. Our fragrance consultants are also available for personalised guidance.

What is the difference between EDP, EDT, and Parfum?

These terms refer to the concentration of fragrance oil in the formula:

  • Eau de Toilette (EDT): 5–15% concentration. Light, fresh, ideal for daytime wear. Lasts 3–5 hours.
  • Eau de Parfum (EDP): 15–20% concentration. Richer and longer-lasting. Our most popular format. Lasts 6–10 hours.
  • Parfum / Extrait: 20–40% concentration. The purest, most luxurious form. A single application lasts all day and into the evening.

At Ethereal Tide Aura, most of our fragrances are offered as EDP or Parfum concentrations, reflecting our commitment to depth, longevity, and olfactory excellence.

How long do your fragrances last on skin?

Our Eau de Parfum formulations are designed for exceptional longevity. On most skin types, you can expect:

  • Sillage (projection): 3–5 hours
  • Skin-close presence: 8–14 hours
  • On clothing: 24–72 hours or longer

Longevity is influenced by skin chemistry, hydration level, body temperature, and the fragrance's composition. Warmer, moisturised skin tends to amplify and extend fragrance. Apply to pulse points — inner wrists, neck, behind ears, inner elbows — for optimal performance.

Pro tip: Apply an unscented moisturiser before your fragrance to extend longevity significantly.
Are your fragrances cruelty-free and vegan?

Ethereal Tide Aura is proudly cruelty-free. We never test our products or ingredients on animals, and we do not commission any third-party testing. We are certified by Cruelty Free International.

The majority of our fragrances are vegan. However, some compositions include ethically sourced ingredients of animal origin (such as musks or ambergris accords). Each product page clearly indicates whether a fragrance is fully vegan.

We are continually working to expand our vegan range while maintaining the highest standards of olfactory artistry.

Do you offer fragrance samples?

Yes — we believe you should experience a fragrance on your skin before committing to a full bottle. We offer individual 2ml samples for €5 each, or our curated Discovery Set of 6 samples for €24.

Complimentary samples are also added to every full-size order at our discretion, and clients who book a Fragrance Consultation receive a personalised sample selection.

Samples can be selected from the product pages or added during checkout.

How should I store my perfume?

To preserve your fragrance at its finest, follow these storage guidelines:

  • Store away from direct sunlight — UV light degrades fragrance molecules.
  • Keep at a stable, cool temperature (ideally 15–20°C). Avoid bathrooms where humidity fluctuates.
  • Keep in the original bottle with the cap secure to prevent oxidation.
  • Store upright to protect the spray mechanism.
  • A drawer, cabinet, or wardrobe is ideal — dark, dry, and temperature-stable.

Properly stored, most of our fragrances retain their quality for 3–5 years after opening, and up to 10 years unopened.

What are fragrance notes?

Fragrance notes describe the individual scent ingredients or accords that compose a perfume. They unfold in three layers over time:

  • Top Notes: The first impression — bright, volatile notes such as citrus, herbs, and light florals. They last 15–30 minutes.
  • Heart Notes: The true character of the fragrance, emerging after the top notes fade. Often floral, spice, or resinous. They last 2–4 hours.
  • Base Notes: The lasting foundation — woods, musks, resins, and ambers. They anchor the fragrance and can linger on skin for many hours.

Are your products 100% authentic?

Without question. Every fragrance sold on maisonlumera.com is authentic, crafted in our Parisian atelier, and sold directly by Ethereal Tide Aura. We have no third-party retailers or marketplaces through which our products are sold.

Each bottle features our unique holographic authentication seal and a scannable NFC chip that verifies authenticity and traces the fragrance's journey from creation to your hands.

If you ever doubt the authenticity of a product, please contact us and we will guide you through the verification process.

Are your ingredients ethically sourced?

Ethical sourcing is a cornerstone of our philosophy. We work with a curated network of suppliers across Grasse, Madagascar, India, Oman, and Morocco — cultivating long-term relationships that ensure fair trade practices and environmental responsibility.

Key ingredients such as our Taif rose, Omani oud, and Madagascan vanilla are sourced through direct partnerships with family-run farms and cooperatives that share our values.

We are members of the Sustainable Fragrance Initiative and publish an annual transparency report on our sourcing practices, available on our website.

What is your return policy?

We offer a 30-day return policy on all unopened, unused products in their original packaging. Opened fragrances may be returned only if they are found to be faulty or not as described.

To be eligible for a return, items must be:

  • Unopened and in original condition (sealed packaging)
  • Returned within 30 days of the delivery date
  • Accompanied by your order number and reason for return

Gift sets and Discovery Sets are non-refundable once opened. We recommend consulting with our team or ordering samples before purchasing if you are uncertain.

How do I initiate a return?

To initiate a return, please email us at info@etherealtideaura.com with:

  • Your order number
  • The item(s) you wish to return
  • The reason for your return
  • A photograph of the item(s) if applicable

Our client services team will respond within 24 hours with a prepaid return label (for returns within France) and instructions for securely packaging your return. International returns are at the customer's expense unless the item is faulty.

Can I return an opened fragrance?

Due to the nature of luxury fragrance and hygiene considerations, we are unable to accept returns of opened fragrances unless the item is defective, damaged in transit, or was delivered incorrectly.

If you received a fragrance that you find unsatisfactory for reasons of scent preference, we encourage you to take advantage of our sample programme before purchasing full-size bottles. We also offer personalised fragrance consultations to help you make the perfect choice.

If you believe your fragrance is faulty — unusual colour, scent, or spray mechanism malfunction — please contact us within 7 days of receipt and we will resolve the matter promptly.

How long do refunds take to process?

Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will process your refund within 3–5 business days. You will receive a confirmation email when your refund has been issued.

Refunds are credited to your original payment method:

  • Credit/debit card: 3–7 business days (dependent on your bank)
  • PayPal: 3–5 business days
  • Bank transfer: 5–10 business days

Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error. For exchanges, we will cover shipping of the replacement item.

Alternatively, you can create an account during checkout — simply check the box "Save my details for future visits" and an account will be created automatically using your order information.

You will receive a welcome email with a verification link — please click it to activate your account and unlock all member benefits.

What is a Fragrance Consultation?

A Ethereal Tide Aura Fragrance Consultation is a private, bespoke experience designed to help you discover your perfect olfactory signature. Led by one of our master perfumers or trained fragrance advisors, the session explores your personal history with scent, your preferences, lifestyle, and aspirations.

Based on this intimate conversation, we will guide you through a curated selection of our fragrances, explain their stories and compositions, and help you identify scents that truly resonate with who you are.

Consultations are available both in our Paris boutique (17 Place Vendôme) and virtually via video call.

How do I book a Fragrance Consultation?

Booking is simple:

  • Visit our Consultation page and select your preferred format (in-person or virtual).
  • Choose an available date and time from our calendar.
  • Complete the brief pre-consultation questionnaire to help us prepare for your session.
  • You will receive a confirmation email with all details.

Alternatively, email us at info@etherealtideaura.com or call our Paris boutique directly, and we will arrange everything for you.

In-person consultations take approximately 45–60 minutes. Virtual sessions are 30–45 minutes.

Is the Fragrance Consultation free of charge?

Yes — all Fragrance Consultations are entirely complimentary for Ethereal Tide Aura clients and registered account holders. We believe that guiding you to the right fragrance is a fundamental part of the luxury experience we offer.

Following your consultation, you will receive a personalised selection of sample fragrances to explore at home, also at no cost. There is no obligation to purchase, though of course we hope you find a scent you adore.

Virtual consultations are available globally — wherever you are in the world, our perfumers are here for you.
